LA PROVENCALE was honored by the privilege to use the prestigious title "Fournisseur de la cour".
On 13th. october the opening of the first wholesale trade for fresh, smoked and frozen fish as well as live shellfish took place in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Opening of a second wholesale trade in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie for the sale of fruit and vegetables, venison with fur or feathers, poultry, mushrooms and cheese.
Consolidation of the three sites in one place under the name "HALLES DE LUXEMBOURG" in the industrial area "Grasbësch" at Leudelange to optimize and coordinate orders and distribution. New facilities with 4.000m2 cooling surface were built and the range of products was extended by meat, homemade delicacies of high quality, dairy, groceries, canned goods, frozen goods and non-food items.
Construction of a new warehouse for "Cash & Carry" with distribution center on 18.000m2 with 40 cold rooms, a new butchery production workshop, two freezer rooms with capacities of 20.000m2 and 10.000m2 constantly cooled to 2-4°C and water basin for up to 7.000kg of living crustaceans.
On 3th. of december, the move and the commissioning of the new facilities took place.

2004 - 2009
Substantial investments in IT and the fleet. The entire infrastructure of the cooling mechanisms has been upgraded to the highest level.
2010 - 2012
Construction of a parking garage for the staff with 500 parking spaces, an additional parking lot for the customers with 130 parking spaces and new workshops for the maintenance of the facilities and the fleet.
At the end of december 2012, the managment of "LA PROVENCALE" was transfered to the next generation handing over the keys to Jo Studer, Georges Eischen and Jeff Arendt.
To further enhance its honorable customer base, "LA PROVENCALE" has begun to expand its facilities by an additional 32.000m2.
2014 - 2018
We pushed the demolition of the old "HALLES" hand in hand with the reconstruction and expansion of the departments of dairy, butchery, venison, fruits and vegetables, freezer, distribution, cleaning for containers and an automatic freezer of 24.000m3 as well as building and commissioning of a wine cellar.
"LA PROVENCALE" with more than 1,200 employees and 150 refrigerated trucks (with 3 temperature zones and HACCP compliance) is the largest food wholesaler in the region.
"LA PROVENCALE" delivers not only in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, but also in the bordering regions of Germany (Rhineland-Palatinate to Cochem), Belgium (Luxembourg province and Liège) and France (Lorraine to Metz).
The product range includes more than 35.400 articles of quality such as fresh, smoked and raw fish, fresh and frozen meat, home-made sausages, poultry, game, fruit and vegetables, mushrooms, spices and packaged herbs, dairy products, canned food, a range of more than 2.700 frozen foods from select manufacturers and a wide range of non-food articles.
The range of customers consists of all departments of the Gestronomie such as hotels, restaurants, canteens, catering companies, airlines, hospitals, supermarkets, grocery stores, bakeries, butcher shops and party organizers.
